Appointments
An appointment is necessary to see your doctor of choice. Urgent cases will be dealt with on the day. Please ask our staff if you require a longer appointment when making your booking. Please bring all relevant paperwork. Due to unforeseen circumstances, such as an emergency, sometimes delays occur. Please notify us of any cancellations or re-scheduling as early as possible. If more than one person from your family wishes to see the doctor at the same time, please book a separate appointment for each family member.
Billing Arrangements
Alexandra Medical Centre will be a Mixed Billing Practice from 8 July 2024. Bulk billing is still available for: Children 15 years and under, Health Care Card holders, Pension Card holders, and Special services e.g. Care Plan preparation, health assessments, and vaccinations. There will be an out-of-pocket fee for medical consultations of all other groups of patients at the discretion of each Medical Practitioner. There will also be a private fee for most surgical procedures, wound dressings, contraceptive procedures and intra-articular injections which will be discussed with you by your GP or receptionists beforehand. More information including fee details, FAQ, etc. will be made available closer to the transition date.
