Dr Ali Taheri is a well-experienced GP with higher qualifications in Paediatrics and more than 30 years of medical experience. He first graduated in 1992 from Shiraz Medical School with an M.D. After four very busy years in Emergency Departments and GP clinics, he started training in Paediatrics and finished with a degree from the Iranian Board of Paediatrics in 2000. Thereafter, he worked as a Paediatrician and GP in two hospitals and his private clinic till 2012, when he moved to Australia. He had two more years of training at Monash Health and Ramsey Health in Australia and then worked in a few Medical Clinics in Melbourne and regional Victoria. He got a Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017 and a course in Integrative Medicine at the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
Dr Ali Taheri originally joined the Alexandra Medical Centre in May 2018 until March 2022, but re-commenced at the Alexandra Medical Centre in June 2023. He is well experienced in skin and other small procedures and IV infusions (e.g. Iron), does all adult chronic disease management and is very interested in rheumatological and autoimmune disorders. He spends his extra time with his family and enjoys playing table tennis and going to the cinema.
Dr Lachlan Fraser owns the Marysville Medical Clinic and very kindly stepped in to help the Alexandra Medical Centre in May 2016. Lachlan does an afternoon session on Mondays and has been a great asset to the Alexandra Medical Centre.
Dr Mark Wallace joined the Alexandra Medical Centre in December 2021. Mark was a long term (36 years) MICA (Mobil Intensive Care Ambulance) Paramedic who began studying medicine at age 53 and graduated in 2018. Mark is a GP registrar on the ACRRM fellowship program with interests in preventative health care, men's health, weight loss, heart health and all general health issues.
Dr Shiva Mahdizade joined the Alexandra Medical Centre in July 2023. Her interests include family medicine, womens health and chronic disease.
